This memorial celebrates the contribution of Irish men who fought under the banner of 'Erin Go Bragh' and the Mexican eagle against the aggressive/land grab of the United States.

Image on badge has a celtic cross and the Mexican eagle with the text 'AL HEROICO BATALLON DE SAN PATRICIO - 1847'.
